My homage to Cliff Evans

I was introduced to Cliff Evans when I joined the Field Club in 2004. Seeing my interest in natural world Cliff and his wife Gladys took me to Dr. Margaret Bradshaw’s botany class in Teesdale. Cliff and the other learned members of the club helped me to identify plants. Cliff was instrumental towards my journey to many botanical courses by the Field Studies Council. He was very happy when I qualified with a distinction in Field Botany from Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
Today I pray for his peaceful journey and sending deepest sympathy to the family.
This photo was taken in 2015, when Cliff visited David Green’s grave where Black Poplars were planted in 2004 which was supplied by Cliff.
